The variety of food is a similar theme. You can have your American pancakes with maple & bacon but they also serve the more modern brunch favourites like avocado & poached eggs on toast. As it’s also a motel, they are clearly striving to appeal to a wider market and this was fine with me especially as I was in an ultra greedy mood (& a little hungover thanks to the wonderful ladies @discovheruk )so I fancied a bit of both!
Everything tasted great and service was good. BUT...the Americans do it all so well and I did miss my butter cream and sausage links though the sausage patty was a good alternative 🥞
I was there for breakfast so I’ve not yet tasted the main menu. I saw lots on the menu that looked good for adults & children alike. The only downside is that they are so popular at the weekends that you will need to expect to queue for a table for a bit but there’s also a drive-thru.
I usually only review food but as I stayed over in the motel I will be doing a full review on my website soon to include my thoughts on the motel accommodation 🛌
If you live in South Oxfordshire, lucky you! It’s a bit of a trek for any North Oxfordshire folk and whilst I wish it wasn’t a 40 minute drive, I would still say that it’s worth the trek as there’s nowhere quite like it around here. I’m really looking forward to taking my kids for the full American diner experience! 🇺🇸
Next time, I’m having the 🍔
The new diner on the block @molliesmotels arrived in Faringdon c/o @sohohouse earlier this year. I’m a massive fan of the authentic all American diner experience and have visited a fair few in the states so I was keen for this one to live up to the real deal!
The decor and styling is fab and all the little details give you that all important Retro American diner vibe with a little bit of soho chic thrown in 🥓
