Cotswolds Roast Dinner

ad pr product 🍴The lovely people at Ross & Ross Events asked if they could send me a ‘Sunday Roast Banquet Box’ to test out. I’ve tried a few of these types of offerings during 2020 so I was keen to see how theirs compared. They are an event catering company based in the Cotswolds and have like many companies, been dealt a difficult hand in 2020 but have worked hard to adapt to the ever changing needs and restrictions.

Like many, I’ve cooked A LOT of roasts in 2020 and whilst I enjoy doing it and my family LOVE eating them; it seems to take over the day a little and I’m left with no energy or inclination to do anything else! Last weekend we did the Christmas decs so it was especially lovely to have this meal to celebrate and relax with without all the hassle and cleaning up!🙌

I’m pleased to say that in terms of ease; the banquet boxes absolutely hit the spot. It arrived in a large box and as everything (apart from sauces)has been put into oven proof containers, there really is minimal clearing up. It also came with a handy guide to help you plan the heating process in priority order so the mental thought process is also simplistic.

Moving onto taste...it all tasted amazing, felt like I was eating at a decent gastro pub. Home cooked flavours but a level up. We had Pork Belly with the most delicious crackling; dauphinoise potatoes and roasted veggies. The yorkshire pudding was epic! You can choose to add on starters & pud accordingly, we had a delicious chocolate mousse with our roast.

I would highly recommend this service. Yes it’s a treat; more expensive than making it yourself but less than going out for dinner. Would be a great way of having a zoom Christmas party with friends or work colleagues if you can’t get together.

The menu changes weekly and they have a Christmas party box and Christmas dinner available over the festive period so check them out if you’re looking for a stress free Christmas!🎄
